“A year from now you may wish you had started today.”
I usually start my articles with my own quotes, but this happened to be one of my favorite. The time constraint in this statement is a variable which might sound contradictory. ‘A Year’ coming from the very beginning might be an hour, a day, a month or year or even years. But, if you have something to do, that you do not do by any means, this quote will definitely hit you.
Never trust anyone who say they don’t or at least, didn’t procrastinate. Heard of term bullshit? – Yeah, it’s that. Everyone does or did procrastinate. And all the difference between you procrastinating, and a successful procrastinating is they got over it. They grew rather than being stuck in the unruly web of procrastination. They did not procrastinate- they grocrastinate.
You’ll get millions of points on web in the topic, and you’d get even more on how to stop procrastinate. But, you’ll never get an idea of grocrastinating. You’ll never learn to gro if you don’t grocrastinate. Grocrastination is a way of living. We repeatedly say, “Grocrastinate is what you will you make out of it; you can make this a bedtime story or you can take what’s of use to you and then create a value for yourselves and those around you. At grocrastinate, we believe that there is no point to extend a single point like a rubber. So, there it is; we supply the resources, experiences, opinions and now it is up to you to create your desired value using the resources that we have handpicked and handtyped (obviously) here.”
The first and foremost path of grocrastination philosophy is quality over quantity. Do not push the thing you have to do. Pull it closer, and have it done when within reach. Do every work as it were the last work of your life and what defined you after your life. Do it little, but do it as if it were the most precious thing for you.
Another way you have to be committed in grocrastination is the power of time; more clearly, the power of now. (Yeah, lot fancy words). To this I follow Kevin Systorm. Yeah he is famous, but I applied this from years back. For those of you who don’t know Kevin, he is the founder of Instagram. He beautifully describes the power of this very moment as, “If you don’t want to do something, make a deal with yourself to do at least five minutes of it. After five minutes, you’ll end up doing the whole thing.” You can read the full article here on his way of life.
The third and final way of grocrastination is about excuses. This happens to be the most difficult way to catch up, as we already are caught up with our excuses. So, say no to excuses. Whatever you have to do isn’t going to be affected by whatever comes in your way unless it’s death and health.
Follow these three steps, and grow to a successful grocrastinator.
Welcome to Grocrastinate. Make it whatever you want. I made this my way of life.
