“We all are a leader.”
-Not Fred nor Freddy. It’s by a Fraud.
We all aren’t a leader. Believe me, those who compels us to believe in “all being leaders” are a total fraud, at least in my point of view. You cannot lead until you really can. Leading isn’t always about shouting others and ordering others. It’s about inspiring, about making persons under or behind you happy without making them feel they are behind you but actually making them feel they are with you.
Well, I’ll be discussing about the types of leader in some other artisodes. But the major point without the pun in my only article without jokes I want to make is a good leader is one who can become all three with demand of situation.
A leader buys and a leader sells. A leader motivates and a leader scolds. A leader hugs and leader kicks. Most importantly, a leader leads (if that was not obvious enough).
Here are few BASIC, I repeat BASIC tips and tricks from a leader to wannabe or already leaders. (No, I am nor narcissist. Not at all). Here we go. (4 is my golden number)
A leader quiet is half a leader. Shout, sing, whisper, motivate, scold; Speak. Don’t be quiet. Speak. Communication builds relations, and relations build leaders. Go personally to each one you have to deal with, deal in groups, get ideas, share ideas. There is no shortcut to speaking.
Act according to situation.
I’ve been termed leader many times, for this amount of life I’ve lived. And from what I’ve learnt, leaders are of three major categories:
i) Follow me or not, it’s up to you. -Gautam Buddha
ii) Following me is a compulsion. –Adolf Hitler
iii) Follow me and you’ll get what you want. –Bill Clinton (Remember Monica Lewinsky?)
Well, you understand better right?
Complete your work. Set an example.
As a leader, you ought to make your hither tither get the work done in time and perfectly. But, you cannot run away from your own duty. You ought to set a precedent so as to inspire. Mere words do not speak. Rightly said, action speaks louder than words.
You don’t need a newly saloon-ed look each day, neither a new cloth every day. What you have to do is make yourself well groomed and presentable. And well, clothes isn’t personality in whole. Your way of dealing, your command, your ideas. All matter. Your personality matters.
